How to backup your ZTE modem config file

Step 1
1. Make sure you are connected to your ZTE ADSL modem using any kind of UTP
    {Unshielded Twisted     Pair} cable.
2. Make sure you are within the same network with your modem, the default network is  192.168.1.0, and
   and the default ip address of the modem is 192.168.1.1, you can configure your PC or Mac..in this range
   (192.168.1.2--192.168.1.254).
3. ping your modem's ip address, to make sure are properly connected to it.
    to do that 
goto-->start-->run-->type "cmd" without the quotes and hit enter. {windows xp or earlier}
goto-->start-->type "cmd" on the search box and hit enter[return] {windows vista or latest}

Step 2
1. Now that we  are connected to our ZTE ADSL modem, open a web browser of your  choice,   and type the local IP address of your modem on the address bar and hit enter. Then you will be prompted to enter username and password, the default is admin admin, or type your own username and password and hit enter,
then you will see the following window.

2. Next goto the management menu and select Backup Config menu from the left navigation bar.

3. Finally click on the backup button and save the configuration file

There you have it, that is how you backup your configurations from a common 
ZTE ADSL modem.
